My power supply blew up on my old computer.

Sure, it had to happen. It WAS a dodgy power supply after all, and the fact that it lasted over it's estimated six month lifespan was good enough for me. Heck it lasted over two years, and it didn't worry me too much, as a matter of fact it was quite funny. Reasonably dramatic reinactment below.

I plugged in the computer
10 second pass, then a large explosion occurs in my computer
The computer decides to turn itself on???
Smoke pours out of the back of the power supply
Computer posts. WTF???
I dive for the power switch

After removing the power supply and hearing a rattling noise come from within, i decided to open it up and inspect. It turns out that it's blown a capacitor. So... yeah. I'm getting one of these now.
It should be enough to satisfy my blue led fetish for a while.

that! :o Itsa long way up! My arms were wrapped around the
horizontal bar one below the wire. I Was aiming to go 4 ABOVE
the wire, but was starting to feel movement in the tower, so
called it a day :)

RiverLAN 11 was a success. You can have a look at some pics here. If you're looking at playing some games in the Riverland region, why not come to RiverLAN 12.
